Desmond McCarthy
Desmond is a graduate of the National College of Art and Design Dublin and a member of the Water Colour Society of Ireland and The Dublin Painting and Sketching club.
Original artworks are in many private collections in Ireland and throughout the world.
Artworks are on permanent display in:- The Department of Foreign Affairs Dublin
- The Department of Agriculture Dublin
- The Irish Embassies in both London and Riyadh
- The Irish Rugby Football Union headquarters in Dublin
- The University of Limerick.
Recently commissions include:
University College Dublin, The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, The Irish Rugby Football Union, Bank of Ireland, Royal Irish Yacht Club, Fitzwilliam Lawn Tennis Club, The Irish Bank Officials Association, Mater Hospital Dublin and The Irish Sailing Association.Recent private commissions have been from Ireland, UK, USA, France, Spain, Greece and Australia.
Signed & numbered Limited Edition Prints are available.
In 2007, twenty original drawings were donated to the permanent art collection in the County Hall, Dun Laoghaire by a private collector.
Desmond teaches Drawing and Painting in Ireland, the UK, Greece and Desmond McCarthy.
